PAT Achieves Nissan Global Supplier Qualification Thursday, 30th September 2004

Pasdec Automotive Technologies recently passed the Alliance Supplier Evaluation Standard (ASES) audit conducted on its manufacturing facility on 20 August by Nissan. Paul Becker, Pasdec's chairman, commented: “This achievement has been an outstanding effort by the team of Pasdec and will ensure continuity and growth of our business into the future. I am extremely proud of the team and of their dedication and determination to excel.” The ASES qualification is a Nissan international quality rating which places Pasdec on the Nissan global supplier listing, thus allowing it to quote and supply Nissan harnesses to the global market. It thus provides the platform to potentially expand the business.

Additionally, the ASES qualification has become a requirement for any new Nissan SA local business, which gives Pasdec the opportunity to quote and successfully compete for any replacement vehicles, such as the new model X11C which will replace the Almera, as well as any other new local business. Being an international quality assessment standard, ASES is comprehensive in its requirement and is all embracing in every aspect of the quality assurance system. Keith Turner, Pasdec's operations director, commented: “In addition to the ASES rating, Pasdec recently achieved the ISO-TS16949 quality rating.

By applying the strict rules and requirements of those ratings, we will ensure our customers’ needs are always met through our quest to continuously improve our quality management systems. Through our continuous improvement program, we will strive at all times to exceed our customers' expectations and requirements in order to foster an integrated partnership with them.
