PAT Forges Ahead With Modernisation Monday, 28th February 2005
Since early 2004 Pasdec Automotive Technologies (PAT) has implemented an ongoing programme of factory enhancements designed to keep the company in line with the highest global industry standards. In December 2004, PAT acquired its fourth new cutting and crimping machine. These acquisitions have proven to have a highly positive effect on quality and productivity, and a further three machines are being planned for purchase in 2005. The upgrade project in the assembly line area was completed prior to shutdown, while initial work on the assembly static board area has begun, with completion set for the first quarter of this year. Within the stores area, it has been agreed to upgrade and convert the current racking into a FIFO system with gravity roller feeds. The first prototypes are in production
