Pasdec Automotive Technologies Appoints
New Independent Non-Executive Director

Adv. Peter Machimana adds his skills and experience to PAT’s drive for growth

Pasdec Automotive Technologies (PAT) is proud to announce the appointment of Advocate Peter Machimana as an independent non-executive director.

According to PAT’s CEO, Kevin Pather, Peter’s appointment is not only a key milestone in the company’s history but will also play a large contribution towards future growth.

“To have someone of Peter’s stature, acumen and expertise to complement an already strong management team,” says Pather, “will ensure that the company can move forward confidently on a platform of sound leadership.”

Peter has a master’s degree in Corporate Law with specialization in Company Law, Securities Law, Corporate Liquidations Law and Mergers & Acquisitions as well as an Advanced Certificate in Corporate Law with specialisation in Company Law and Securities Law. Peter completed his master’s research on Mergers & Acquisitions.

Peter is admitted to practice as an Advocate and has been enrolled as an Advocate of the High Court.

In addition to his legal expertise, Peter has gained significant business leadership experience as a director of a number of successful companies.

He serves in the Corporate Governance Portfolio Committee of the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa, as well as on the Portfolio Committee on Social Policy of Business Unity South Africa (BUSA).

Peter has also served as a member of the Research and Advisory Committee of the South African Corporate Law Reform (Department of Trade and Industry), as a coordinator of the Corporate Governance Working Group, and a member of the Working Group on Company Formation. Furthermore, he is an active member of the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa (IOD) and the Black Management Forum (BMF).

He is currently studying towards a doctoral degree focusing on Corporate Governance.
