Official Opening of Assembly Line Heralds a Bright Future for Pasdec Automotive Technologies

Local and international dignitaries attend an opening ceremony that will usher in an era of growth, as PAT commences operations on four new contracts with Mercedes Benz SA and Nissan SA.

Pasdec Automotive Technologies (PAT), South Africa's leading supplier of wiring harnesses to the automotive manufacturing industry, was recently host to dignitaries from local government, the Malaysian diplomatic corps and its parent company in Malaysia.

The occasion was the opening of a new assembly line that will soon deliver harnesses to Mercedes Benz SA for its Mitsubishi Triton range.

Shortly, PAT will also commence assembly of harnesses for Nissan SA’s Tiida, Livina and Hardbody range, having recently been awarded these new contracts.

The opening ceremony was preceded by a presentation given by PAT’s CEO, Kevin Pather. After the ribbon was cut by the Malaysian Ambassador, Dato Yahaya Abdul Jabar, the guests were given a tour of the plant by Bully Bisschoff, PAT’s Operation Manager.
