PAT Puts Quality First Tuesday, 30th November 2004
Pasdec Automotive Technologies (PAT) has developed a Quality Vision that is designed to secure the company's status as a world-class wiring harness manufacturer.
PAT's newly appointed Quality Assurance Manager, Gielie Fourie, is at that forefront of the drive to make quality a key focus throughout the company. According to Gielie, in order to achieve and maintain world-class status, PAT will make customer satisfaction in terms of quality, the number one priority. “In order to provide a framework for customer satisfaction and continuous improvement,” says Gielie, “we will define our manufacturing and support processes to ensure continuous focus on high levels of quality, process capability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, we will develop objectives and targets to ensure that we continually strive for excellence. “Furthermore, we acknowledge that our success relies on our staff, who interface with customers and products.
Consequently, PAT will embark on continuous empowerment and training activities to improve performance and motivational levels.” Gielie emphasises that, “Quality cannot be judged without proper measurement.” As such, PAT will continually review its quality performance using appropriate measurements agreed to by management and staff.
